PIMSAT is an autonomous privately managed Institute legislated by the Government of Sindh through act XXVI/2001 notified in the Sindh Government Gazette (Extra Ordinary) July 31, 2001. The Chairman Board of Governors / Vice Chancellor shall exercise control over the Institute as its principal executive and academic officer and shall do all acts to ensure that the officers and the staff properly & faithfully perform the duties entrusted to them. The Deans of faculties as well as several Advisory and Standing Committees will assist the management discharging of their duties.

Preston Institute of Management Science and Technology (PIMSAT), Karachi has been chartered by the Sindh Government through promulgation of ordinance No. LEGIS:1(26)/2001 enshrined in its constitution and recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Government of Pakistan and is listed on their website i.e.

under the heading “chartered university / Degree Awarding Institutes of Pakistan in Public and Private sectors. The program strategy of PIMSAT is to provide higher education opportunities of the highest quality at a reasonable and affordable cost. Preston Institute of Management, Science & Technology has been chartered by Government of Sindh vide Ordinance No. d. LEGIS:1(26)/2001.rges the establishment of more institutions of higher learning to cater the needs of the inhabitants of the Karachi. The addition of PIMSAT in the elite institutions of higher learning works to meet the professional and career development needs of the ever-growing number of students.
